Abstract:

Robots’ primary purpose is to assist humans in performing tasks, whether in the workplace or everyday household tasks. This project presents the development and prototyping of a smartphone-controlled industrial Kuka arm robot that also has a mobile platform. It serves as a demonstration of the use of robotics in the industrial material handling space. There are two main parts of this project: hardware construction and software development. The hardware operations include the automation process of controlling servo motors and 3D printing of the body. The software part includes programming the Arduino mega board and developing an android application. The robotic arm has six degrees of freedom, uses Bluetooth for serial communication, and can store the user inputs to perform repetitive tasks. The final developed prototype demonstrated successful operation.
